--- BOOKS ---
The essential characteristic of this book in comparison with others on the market in the same domain is that it describes through examples the ideal competences of a leader. I never claimed that it's easy to become a good leader, but if people will...
I wrote this book that conjoins in a simple way personal development with leadership, just like a puzzle, where you have to match all the given pieces in order to recompose the general image.
The aim of this book is to offer you information through concrete examples and to show you how to obtain the capacity to make others see things from the same angle as you.
Put to the test the strength of your character, by making from leadership a principle of life. Recently, the famous actor Michael Douglas was invited to the popular TV talk show “Late Show with David Letterman”, on CBS. Perhaps, the most important moment of the talk show was when they talked about the stage I of throat cancer with whom was diagnosed Michael. He proudly mentioned that, despite his disease, he will continue to shoot the movie "Haywire". David Letterman, who did not stop looking at Michael throughout the interview, seeing that he did not fade at all when talking about his health, asked him: “You look great, you don't seem like a man who became ill because of cancer. How do you manage that?” With all his well-known self-control, hiding all trace of anxiety, Michael answered without hesitation: “Because I'm on stage!” The scene is a source of life for an artist The answer of the famous Hollywood actor suggests the strong confidence that gives him the stage, the stage where he began and made his rich career, the stage on which he served and will always serve with faith and devotion, the stage which, although often exhausts him physically, gives him an impetus and strong emotional energy, at the same time. The stage is where the connection with life is made. A true artist's whole world is the stage, and as long as he had to interpret a role, he had to play it good and constantly. To play is perhaps the greatest joy and happiness that a true artist can feel. The stage gives him the power to devote himself quietly to his work, playing his role with a vibrant passion, with a rare depth and aplomb, often despite many difficulties he encounters in real life. Lively, intelligent and very thirsty after excellence, dominated, among others, by an emphasized spirit of trust and hope, he will maintain on stage an amazing consistency in playing his role. What can you say about the character of every man you meet? Do you understand the features that individualizes him? What is the basis for his own development? Is it strong the faith in his qualities? His attitude makes him cope when his life raises hindrance? Does he accept the natural limitations imposed on him by life? In what way are you? A true leader rises to a high level of thinking and artistic interpretation The leader seems rather like an actor who creates with talent an important role within the organization he belongs to. It is up to his duty to totally identify with the character he plays, even if sometimes he is afraid of the intensity of his own emotions when he plays his guiding role. As a leader, do you prefer to play tragic roles, like that of a parent who helplessly witnesses the tortures unfairly suffered by his own child, which he sees dying? Or, do you adopt every time the same posture that the famous actor Michael Douglas painted for himself at the well-known TV talk show hosted by David Letterman, the posture of the confident, optimistic man who, healthy or sick, plays on his role constantly with great energy? Michael has the undeniable merit to be crossed by a flaming boom, by a vigorous trust in his future. And, so you must have the same attitude. However, for that, you must turn your leadership into a life principle. Your role, as a leader, is to lead the organization ahead. Nevertheless, the task of being the leader and the guide of the necessary transformations is not so easy as it might seem. People tend to express their increasing discontent with your performance if you do not lead them in the most favourable direction. The leader is not at all a simple artist, but a true performer who remains devoted to his work. Full of talent and always looking, through his art, to maintain himself on his present place in the organization, he will manage to achieve everything he wants. A show in the honor of life can be called the performance of a leader, who does not lay down his arms and does not give up in dramatic circumstances. The life of a leader is a show by itself, in which he has the main role - a role that he must perform with an amazing consistency. And, in the way he is leading his own existence, says a lot about his ability to lead other people. Put to the test the strength of your character, by making from leadership a principle of life.
