Well, behind this application, there is a very complex program that scans the texts the user wants to translate from one language to another, searching for meaningful statistical models – i.e. models between translation and the original text, which are unlikely to occur randomly. Once the program finds a pattern, it can be used to translate similar texts in the future.
Translations are not always perfect, but constantly, by delivering new translations, the Google Translate tool develops and translations are getting better. It's no wonder that, in the last four years, more and more people and services have turned to this free translation tool.
